And so much to talk about… The ESOMAR Panel Research Conference was such a great event by all means. I have been impressed and humbled by the amount of work provided by all participants, speakers and listeners. Online Research has definitely turned the page and there is definitely a lot of thoughts and innovation going on. And the discussions at the Conference were not everything. Despite the competition, this little industry feels more and more like a big family, with camaraderie and respect. What can I say about Barcelona? I hadn’t been in the city for almost ten years, but I love the place so much I would probably live there if I wasn’t in Los Angeles. Barcelona has the personality of Catalunya, the pride of Spain, the soul of the Mediterranean. It is a living example of what is great about Europe, a subtle blend of modernity and tradition, hard work and joie de vivre. And finally, I wouldn’t say anything about this trip if I didn’t mention the Hotel Arts, where the conference took place, what is probably the most beautiful hotel I ever stayed in, and the coincidence of having two cousins from France in town at the same time. It’s been a great time, and I will tell you more about it… after a well-deserved Siesta.
